Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon and one of the wealthiest people in the world, has a unique perspective on money and spending. Despite his immense fortune, Bezos drove a 1997 Honda Accord even after becoming a billionaire. According to Brad Stone’s book The Everything Store, he was still driving the same car in 2013, a choice that contrasts with the extravagant spending often seen among billionaires.
This story about Bezos’s car first surfaced during a 60 Minutes interview with Bob Simon in 1999 when Amazon was still a five-year-old online bookstore. Bezos, then worth around $8 billion according to Forbes, explained while driving his Honda Accord, “This is a perfectly good car.”

Tim Sweeney, the founder and CEO of Epic Games, has had a profound impact on the gaming industry, revolutionizing it in several key ways. Sweeney’s development of the Unreal Engine, first released in 1998, set a new standard for graphics and game development, offering a robust and accessible tool for developers to create high-quality 3D games. This technology empowered developers across the world, fueling the growth of 3D gaming and modern game engines. Additionally, Sweeney’s vision extended to online gaming with the creation of Fortnite, a game that not only became a cultural phenomenon but also redefined how games could evolve and be monetized, pioneering the free-to-play model with microtransactions and battle passes. His advocacy for open platforms and consumer rights—such as challenging monopolistic practices with the Epic Games Store—has also positioned him as a key figure in the ongoing debate about digital storefronts and fair competition in the gaming industry. Through his innovations, Sweeney has consistently pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in gaming, both in terms of technology and business models.

Surinder Arora built his real estate empire through a combination of strategic investments, keen market insight, and a relentless drive to succeed. Originally arriving in the UK from India in the 1970s with limited resources, Arora initially worked in various jobs before venturing into property development. He identified opportunities in the hospitality and commercial real estate sectors, particularly in the growing demand for airport hotels and office spaces. Arora’s breakthrough came in the 1990s when he started acquiring land near key transportation hubs, focusing on providing high-quality accommodations for business travelers. Over the years, his company, Arora Group, expanded its portfolio, securing major projects such as the Hilton and Sofitel hotels at major UK airports. Arora’s success also stemmed from his hands-on management style, ability to negotiate strategic partnerships, and his commitment to reinvest profits back into the business, all of which allowed him to scale quickly and become a significant player in the UK’s real estate market.
My fav scene.♥️😂🎥🎬🍿🤣Real estate investment in the UAE 🇦🇪 can be lucrative due to the growing economy and demand for properties. The UAE offers various options for real estate investment, including residential, commercial, and even hospitality properties + “🌟golden visa for the international owners🌟”. Investors should consider factors like location, market trends, and legal regulations before making investment decisions in the UAE. 🇦🇪 , I recommend @real_estate.by_a.adel !.”

Ben & Jerry’s has sparked controversy and outrage after making a strong call for activism on various social and political issues, including climate change, racial justice, and refugee rights. Known for its progressive stance, the ice cream brand has used its platform to advocate for systemic change, which has led to mixed reactions. Supporters praise the company for using its influence to push for important societal issues, while critics accuse it of being overly political and pushing a “woke” agenda. Some customers feel alienated by the brand’s activism, arguing that companies should focus on their products rather than becoming involved in contentious debates. This tension reflects a broader debate on whether corporations should take stances on political issues or remain neutral to avoid divisiveness.
Bill Gates has expressed regret over his association with Jeffrey Epstein, acknowledging that he made a significant error in judgment by meeting with him multiple times. Gates has said that he initially believed Epstein could help him raise funds for global health initiatives, but he quickly realized Epstein’s intentions were not aligned with his own values. In interviews, Gates has stated that he deeply regrets his ties to Epstein, describing their meetings as a “mistake” and emphasizing that he should have severed the connection much sooner. His regret has become a key part of his public reflection on the matter, especially given the serious criminal allegations against Epstein and his eventual conviction. Gates has made it clear that he now sees any association with Epstein as something he wishes never happened.
